CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle technique that can have profound effects throughout the body. For people experiencing chronic pain, depression, MS, Autism-spectrum disorders, and other issues, to those who would like to find greater ease, centeredness, and calm in their daily lives, CST is a wonderful modality that can create lasting change.
For detailed information about CST, explore the Upledger Institute at www.upledger.com.
I am CST-Techniques certified, and am also trained in SomatoEmotional Release (SER), CST and the Immune Response (CSIR), and CST for Longevity and Reverasal of the Aging Process (CSLRAP), which I integrate into sessions as needed.
Each session lasts approximately one hour.
Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a body-awareness approach to working with trauma. When someone is responding to the world from a place of trauma, basic functions can be compromised. This can show up in many ways, including dysfunction of the immune response or digestive system, syndromal patterns, fear and anger issues, and relational problems. Somatic Experiencing can help re-regulate the nervous system. By tracking the sensations of the body, we can start to unravel the effects of trauma. CranioSacral Therapy and Somatic Experiencing dovetail together beautifully to help us explore the ways that trauma might be affecting your everyday life. I am fascinated by the way these two modalities allow us to work at the intersection of our physical, emotional, and spiritual selves.
I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and have been a training assistant for almost a decade. I've also taken post-advanced SE trainings, and am approved to give personal sessions and consults at all levels of the SE program.
